Duke 17
Duke 17 by Kingson is the family craft to turn your young novice paddlers into experienced river and lake navigators. Responsive yet stable with adequate load capacity you could take some time to fish from the center and have your up and coming offspring take charge of thrust and navigation. Become a true skipper. The Duke has typical Kingson features, tumble home for paddling access, a shallow arch bottom, moderate rocker in the front with a gentle lift in the aft end. Suprisingly agile for something that is getting in to the larger size of canoe. Modelled after classic Canadian canoe shapes from the last century the Duke blends newer design tendencies from modern design observations. with no recurve in the bow or stern, she's less likely to ship water and this allowed us to drop the bow and the stern height compared to something like an ole prospector design. So if the weather picks up she should still remain managble and fun to paddle.
